ARE YOU TALKING TO ME? YES!
1. Why should I clean my dryer? Like the asbestos debacle, it has taken years to learn that dryers also have serious side effects. Unlike other air ducts, dryer exhausts can be clogged
by lint; there are at least six ways it can happen. Over time this can result in any of these:
a. Lint leaking into the house causing allergies and housekeeping issues.
b. Warm moist air leaking into the house causing mold and related illness.
c. Toxic fumes leaking into the house from gas dryers, or gases from carpets and drapes.
d. Water condensing in the ducts, leaking onto, and rotting, roofs, ceilings, studs and walls.
e. Wasted energy. Dryers use a lot of electricity. Long drying times waste these limited resources.
f. FIRE! Loss of property, pets and LIFE! Clothes dryers are the #2 appliance cause of home fires.
While always important, fire safety is even more critical in multi-unit housing.
2. Why use the Dryer Fire Protection Co. and not a plain duct/vent cleaning service?
To address all the ways outflow is affected, The DFPC:
a. Takes airflow measurements before, during and after cleaning to define your exact problem area(s).
b. Cleans the entire system, starting with the dryer (Note: Fires start in the dryer, then spread!) from the air intake, to the heating element, into the lint trap, through the exhaust pipe (where the blower motor is located) the vent (the pipe that connects the dryer to the duct, replaced if not metal) the duct and the hood. Please compare our hoods to those commonly used! Goto: www.dryerfire.com
c. Uses unique compressed air tools that reach into cracks, nooks and crannies better than any brush.
d. Replaces foil, plastic or vinyl vents with all metal venting.
e. Replaces weak pinch clamps with stainless steel hose clamps.
f. Teaches how to remain safe & efficient via lint trap screen cleaning & laundry room air supply tips.
g. Cleans and sets up according to manufacturer’s requirements!
h. Then Guarantees the Airflow for a YEAR.
The others just clean the duct and maybe the vent, leaving 2/3s of your problems, most notably the dryer, (Please remember, Fires start in the dryer!) untouched and unsolved! That is why the DFPC is used by owners and managers of property management companies for their personal property!
